Active Off Season Movement Sparks Interest To Buy Jets Tickets

Who hasn’t heard the news that Tim Tebow has joined the Jets!? Well, unless you have been living under a rock, or in some cave in North Korea, everyone should now know that the player most famous for being famous, Tim Tebow, was acquired from the Denver Broncos. Even though he will only be used as a backup Quarterback, fans will still line up to buy Jets tickets in the hope to see him play.

Will Tim have any success in New York? Who knows really? The one thing you can be sure of is the controversy that will come along with having your back-up QB getting more attention than your starter. This is exactly why Denver thought it would be best to cut ties with the former Gator to begin with. No Head Coach or GM wants to have to deal with all the murmurs in the crowd and during the post- press conferences, after the starting QB has a bad game. Yet if there is a place in the NFL that knows pressure and how to handle it, it would be this team.

Tim is an outstanding person and a great teammate. That alone could be all the help they need from him. He is already proven himself as a leader during hard times and hopefully he will do his part and help the team in whatever capacity that he can. Whether that be helping to sell Jets tickets or promoting his #15 jerseys.

The New York Jets did sign other players to their roster since February. In fact, they signed a few respectable names to play for the beloved Green and White. One of those names is the ex Washington Redskins’ safety, Laron Landry. Many fans were excited to hear this news because it made renewing their Jet tickets much easier.

Landry is a heavyweight contender that spent the last 5 years with Washington, where he averaged up over 376 tackles, 6 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries and his 75 tackles per year. The Jets seriously need him down the middle to cover the ever growing number of quick, but big, tight-ends. With the loss of safeties Brodney Pool and Jim Leonard, Landry will most certainly be the guy down the field that will cause opposing QB’s to take a 2nd peek down the field to try and locate him. That, in itself is a Herculean relief to the Jets Defensive Coordinator.

In addition to singing Landry, fans that own Jets tickets were happy to hear that this organization signed former Oakland Raider WR, Chaz Shilens. The WR is known to have another gear left to pop while opposing DB’s are all but tapped out and winded. The problem facing Shilens is his health issues. The WR is also said to be made of glass and has missed a lot of playing time due to injuries. If this guy can keep all his parts together and doesn’t get hurt, he could be the type receiver that can run circles around DB’s down the field. Making games more exciting for those that buy Jets tickets.

With all the hoopla being made about the Jets landing Tebow, seems most are too occupied to notice the other deals they made. While the Jets still have the NFL Draft ahead, it appears they have already plugged a few of the holes they had at key positions. The re-signing of NT Sione Pouha to a 3 yr, $15 million deal, WR Scotty McKnight, K Nick Folk and QB Mark Sanchez to a new 3 yr extension, the Jets are set to rattle some cages in the NFL in 2012. Make sure you buy your Jets ticket early this year because its looking like it will sell out fast!
